Still not legal here mate, despite Australia having the largest number of Cannabis users per capita globally. Our government’s attitude towards drugs is stuck in the Dark Ages. We recently had two deaths at a music festival in Sydney from drug overdoses and the response of the state government premier was “there is no such thing as a safe drug”. If we follow this logic down its natural route, then we’re all ‘criminals’ as 95% of punters at these festivals are taking illicit substances. Not to mention the blatant hypocrisy of our society’s acceptance and promotion of alcohol… Hopefully Canada’s progress in this area will shake some sense into the establishment. I feel as if drug liberalisation is fast becoming a global trend. Thanks for writing!
