Hi Zach, thanks for sharing your story. Unfortunately in this day and age it is with the issue of money that we commonly see the psychology of scarcity manisfest itself. Not having enough finances in your life has an overwhelming impact on your pscyhe, cognition and therefore your ability to figure out how to work towards becoming financially free. Last year a side mission of mine was to increase my financial intelligence and start putting in place a roadmap to achieve financial security. I recommend two short books that I feel can help immensely. The first is ‘The Barefoot Investor’, a best-seller here in Australia, the second is ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’. These two books really changed my perception of money and what it requires to become financially free. In particular they taught me how to make money work for you and not just how to go and work for money, and how increasing your assets and reducing your liabilities is the key to generating wealth. I hope these recommendations help and good luck with your journey my friend!
