Hi there Gwydion. Thanks for reading and for sharing your thoughts. I agree with you on your point that detestable values and behaviour were more recently endorsed than we care to admit. In my own country of Australia Aboriginal Children were still being taken from their families right up to the late 1970’s as part of the ‘White Australia Policy’. I just peered a little further down the historical track to demonstrate how we romanticise the customs of different civilisations and cultures often portrayed as virtuous in contemporary media.
