Hi Mike. Yes it can get quite frustrating coming up against intergenerational preconceptions about what constitutes a tool for learning versus what doesn’t. In saying this, I feel like a lot of angst with regards to video games comes from a good place. Parents are worried about their kids becoming glued to the TV, which I feel like is a valid fear to have due to the way screen based entertainment has been shown to co-opt our biological reward systems. But so long as we remain cognisant of this fact, I completely agree that video games are a great source of knowledge and development.
